Adobe After Effects CS5 - How To Modify Layers

After Effects provides several tools for the modifying layers. Layers stacking, sliding, and trimming are among the basic tools for mixing the different resources in your project with the layer structure. These tools are easy to use, but even within groups there are several levels of options and tools to get more of its resources and its project.

When we compare our layers we set a priority display with the upper layer seen above all others. There are several things we can do here, including scaling of a layer, so more than one layer is visible, adjust the opacity as a layer has a degree of transparency to allow other layers to show through, and the sliding of the layers along timelline they are considered sequentially as the animation plays.

All these changes are fairly easy to layer in the timeline with the tools presented. Pick three resources that you want to experiment, perhaps one or two photos and a short film. First, drag resources from the project panel in its composition. If you choose one of these resources, such as film, and drag the icon of the composition in the bottom of your tools project, will create a new composition, which will default to the preset aspect ratio and pixel film, and duration of the film. This is a quick and easy to create a composition with the supported configuration by simply dragging a resource and the creation of the first layer, at the same time.

Dragging layers as they are simply placing their "window" in the timeline. If you have several images you want this sequence is a great way to create a slideshow. Add images to your membership and to scroll left and right on the timeline for the sequence in which they appear.

The images have a single piece of information, the image, so when you drag them back, you are alone, as the picture. Notice when you hold your arrow at the end of the band of color that represents your image in the timeline, the arrow becomes a'<->' two crossed arrows indicating that you can resize this layer. When the size of a layer are basically set the time that the layer appears. If you do not see the arrow symbol of the Cross at the beginning of your image layer, it is possible to slide a bit to make sure you see the beginning. Practice a little until you are sure to be increasing and decreasing the size of this layer present in the timeline.

Set the duration of an image is displayed, and how the sequence with others is a part of your design, but when the size of the layers of a video editing, you remove some of your videos by shortening its length from the beginning or end. You will make two types of changes, but they are very different. In one case, you do not want your image to be displayed in a certain period, but in the latter case, you are cutting a portion of your video, simply by using your mouse and manually move the beginning or end of video layers.
