Photoshop - Selections Among File Sharing

As you become familiar with the options, create and store chains to share this with different files is a great to add to your toolbox. We talked about the choice to provide methods to add to your image and become an integral part of the design process. When you can share and mix the choice between different folders, it will broaden your horizons.

We have seen in previous lessons how easy it is to save a selection as a channel. You do this by selecting the "Select-> Save Selections" option. This opens the Save Selection pop-up menu that offers opportunities to record a new channel that crosses a driveway, to add or subtract an existing channel.

All these options are the channel into the existing document. If you have another open document, the document is presented with the option of a menu that allows you to store your selection in another document. This document must have the same width in pixels of exact height, but is very easy to adjust if it is not.

As always the best way to see how this works, try it! Pick a few documents with different foreground and background. You can choose an image with a house or a friend, something that can easily stand out.

Be sure that these two documents are the same size in pixels. If not, just choose Image-> Image Size "and the first option for the pixel dimensions, height and width adjustment. Now go to your source image, the one with the house or the person you want to select. Make this choice with the appropriate selection tool, select Save Selection Select '> Save Selections ", but this time by opening the document pull down and choose our second document. This will store your selection in the second document that you use for this exercise.

When you go to "number two" of the document, you will not see anything immediately, but if you click the channel you will see your selection, the channel that you copied into your new document. Now you can treat it as a choice that you have done here.

With your copy highlighted channel, as you must click on a layer of the mouse at the bottom of the range of channels, click the leftmost "load channel as selection '. You can also get to choose the menu and choose "Select> Load Selection." This will be the selection of strains with the channel pop newly copied as a selection option. There are two ways to do the same, loading your saved selection, station registered as a selection.

When this option is active, you can do whatever you want. Fill out the color of your choice of paint bucket tool, fill your selection model. You are not copying the contents of your choice, but by copying the exact choice of the border so you can stay in a second image.

This opens up ideas for the shadow, the mirror symmetry and the many creative opportunities when you can copy the exact shape and contour from one image to another.
